About Chase & Caleb

Chase & Caleb are best friends and community builders who have spent more than a decade creating joyful, intentional spaces for Austin’s LGBTQ+ community through events, activism, and grassroots organizing.

​

Chase Brunson is an award-winning nonprofit event professional and expert in inclusive event design who has spent 15 years mobilizing queer communities through activism and community-centered experiences.

​

Caleb Armstrong is an event director, graphic designer, and organizer known for creating spaces where people feel connected, celebrated, and at home.

 

Together, they co-founded Local Queer in 2022 to uplift sapphic and transgender identities and strengthen queer community connections across Austin. Today, Local Queer is a thriving 501(c)(3) nonprofit and a vibrant hub for queer joy, advocacy, and belonging.
